Ogden Information

We in Ogden, UT are excited to host the Archery World Cup Stage Three. We are thrilled to share the exciting vibe that has become so apparent in Ogden with competitors, coaches and officials. We assure you will have a wonderful time experiencing Northern Utah's High Adventure destination.

We have created several day trip options that are offered through the Ogden/Weber Convention & Visitors Bureau at additional cost. These are not part of the Local Organizing Committee registration process and can be reserved on-line or during the event at the Ogden/Weber CVB information table.

While Ogden and the Weber County area have always been known for their world class skiing, more recently the area has been tagged as an "adventure destination". Articles in the National Geographic, Outside magazine, Rock & Ice, Bicycling and even the New York Times have recognized what most locals have known all their lives, Ogden is an exciting and varied place to visit.

Even though the latest hype has been on the outdoor possibilities, 200 miles of hiking trails, golf, mountain biking, kayaking, and the varied event opportunities in addition to skiing, Ogden also offers a wide array of historic sites, world class restaurants, arts and entertainment. Starting at the historic Union Railroad Station with its museums and shops, you can stroll down 25th Street, a street that preserves the character of the boom days of the West. You can shop in any number of boutiques, jewelry stores, antiques or needlework shops. After shopping you could stop at Rooster's, Tona, The Artisan Grill , Bistro 258, La Ferrovia Restaurant or even Shin Sei Sushi Bar for a bite to eat.

If you are looking for a little more indoor fun, two blocks north of the Historic 25th Street, is the Salomon Center located in the new Junction. Here you can sky dive in the IFly tunnel, mountain climb in the IRock, surf in the Flow Rider or enjoy the carnival atmosphere of the Fatcats Fun Center which includes bowling, bumper cars, mini golf, billiards, The Pizza Factory and Costa Vida restaurants. Also at the Junction is a 13 theater Megaplex, showing all the latest films. Enjoy wonderful regional Mexican cuisine at Sonora Grille or if you would like to catch a game, contemporary sports bar, Iggy's, can also be found at the new Junction.

Weber County abounds with historic attractions. This area was once a cross road to the West and history is around every corner. The Historic Union Station portrays the railroad history with a small but elegant car museum, while the Hill Air Force Aerospace Museum has displays of aircraft used by our nation in all air encounters going back to Andy Rickenbacker and coming forward to the current space program. Other interesting attractions would be the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Museum, Fort Buenaventura, Peery's Egyptian Theater, one of the Sundance Film festivals venues, and even the Shooting Star Saloon, the oldest continually operating bar in Utah.

We can't wait to welcome you to our city. For a complete events calendar and attractions visit www.visitogden.com
